About us
DEAL is a newly approved Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) Faculty Center drawing from computer science, social sciences, learning sciences, and management.
DEAL aims to research topics in, and aspects of, Digital Enterprises, with an empirical focus on digital data analytics and an educational focus on digital leadership. DEAL seeks to provide research-based technical solutions and management frameworks to established and emerging enterprises in Canada to assist their transformation into digital enterprises.
DEAL’s Mission is to:
- Advance the state-of-the-art in digital enterprise research
- Build, operate and maintain a cutting-edge infrastructure and analytics solution suite in order to conduct digital enterprise research and education
- Leverage DEAL’s transdisciplinary composition to develop collaborative projects to address digital enterprise challenges and opportunities
- Develop robust and rigorous benchmarking tools for and maturity models on digital enterprises
- Provide research supervision, learning and training opportunities in topics in and aspects of digital enterprise analytics and leadership
- Inform policy and regulation in digital enterprise and data economy
DEAL is led by founding director, Dr. Ravi Vatrapu (Loretta Rogers Research Chair and Professor, School of Information Technology Management). DEAL is co-founded by Dr. Ozgur Turetken (Associate Dean of Research, TRSM and Professor, School of ITM), Dr. Morteza Zihayat Kermani (Associate Professor, School of ITM), and Dr. Mehdi Kargar (Assistant Professor, School of ITM).
